JUST IN: Tinubu in closed-door meeting with APC governors at Villa

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently meeting behind closed doors with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State House, Abuja.

The meeting, initially scheduled for 4 p.m. in the Council Chamber, began around 5 p.m. after being moved to the President’s Office Conference Room.

Governors in attendance included the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), Hope Uzodimma (Imo); Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe); Prof. Babagana Zulum (Borno); Hyacinth Alia (Benue); Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti); Peter Mbah (Enugu); and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), among others. Some states were represented by their deputy governors.

As of the time of filing this report, the meeting’s agenda had not been disclosed.

Thursday’s engagement came barely 24 hours after the President held an emergency closed-door meeting with the leadership of the Senate in his office.
