The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State for the 2027 election, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has formally presented his result sheet to the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun following his emergence as the party’s flag bearer.
Senator Adeola presented the result sheet to Governor Abiodun, former governor Olusegun Osoba, and Ogun State APC Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, shortly after securing an overwhelming victory in the party’s governorship primary.
The presentation came amid celebrations by party leaders and supporters following Adeola’s emergence as the APC standard-bearer for the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State. Reports indicate that the primary exercise, conducted across the state, was peaceful and reflected the party’s internal cohesion ahead of the next general election.
Adeola, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, emerged with overwhelming support from party members and stakeholders, reinforcing his position as the APC’s preferred candidate in the race to succeed Governor Abiodun.
The symbolic presentation of the result sheet further highlighted the backing of key party leaders and signaled a renewed push for unity and consolidation within the APC as preparations intensify for the 2027 governorship contest.
