Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has declared that his administration will not allow kidnappers, bandits or other criminal elements to establish a safe haven anywhere in the state, assuring residents that security agencies will continue to intensify efforts to protect lives and property.
Abiodun said the state government would continue to support security agencies with the resources and cooperation required to confront criminal networks and prevent them from gaining a foothold in Ogun. He stressed that the safety of residents remains a major priority of his administration.
The governor’s warning comes amid continuing concerns over kidnapping and other security threats in parts of the country. Ogun, which shares borders with several states as well as the Republic of Benin, has strategic highways, forests and other areas that security agencies continue to monitor against criminal activities.
Abiodun also called for continued cooperation between residents and security agencies, particularly through the provision of credible information that can help authorities identify and disrupt criminal operations before they escalate.
The Ogun State Government has repeatedly emphasised intelligence-led security operations and collaboration with the police, military and other security agencies as part of efforts to maintain the state’s relatively stable security environment.
