Popular Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun has been recognised as one of this year’s Trailblazer Award recipients at the prestigious Silverbird Man of the Year Awards.
The accolade was presented on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, during the star‑studded ceremony that celebrates outstanding Nigerians across creative, professional, and leadership fields.
The Trailblazer Award honours individuals who have broken new ground and reshaped their fields through innovation and consistency.
Reacting to the recognition, Makun described the award as a moment of honour, gratitude and humility. In a statement, he said his journey in comedy and film has been shaped by faith, consistency, hard work and a strong belief in telling Nigerian stories.
