Cristiano Ronaldo dropped from Portugal’s squad

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has been dropped from the squad for the upcoming friendly matches against Mexico and the United States.

Earlier this month, the head coach of Al Nassr, Jorge Jesus, confirmed that Ronaldo had travelled to Spain to undergo treatment for a hamstring injury.

The 41-year-old subsequently missed Al Nassr’s Saudi Pro League wins over Neom and Al Khaleej.

Ronaldo will now continue to work on his return from injury as he is deemed not ready.

Conversations between his club and country have decided that he focuses on a full recovery, with the World Cup only a few months away.
