Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has sparked excitement among fans after hinting at the remake of her decade-long film Àpáàdì.
The actress and filmmaker responded on X to a fan’s post featuring the original movie poster.
The image showed Akindele alongside veterans including Adebayo Salami, Peju Ogunmola, Peter Fatomilola and Yinka Quadri in the Scene One Productions title.
Quoting the post that called her “Evergreen Mama,” Akindele wrote: “A remake won’t be a bad idea.”
The brief reply has already drawn positive reactions from followers, with some requesting revivals of other past hits such as Aje Meta.
Akindele, whose latest project The Four is scheduled for cinema release on 11 December, continues to balance new productions with nostalgia for her earlier work that helped cement her status in the industry.
