“I gave him two slaps” — Burna Boy breaks silence on Wizkid, DJ Tunez clash

Afrobeats star Burna Boy has stirred fresh controversy after speaking out on his reported altercation with DJ Tunez, the official disc jockey to Wizkid.

The Grammy-winning artist addressed the issue during a recent Instagram live session, where he gave his own account of what transpired at Obi’s House, a popular nightlife spot frequented by celebrities.

Burna Boy dismissed claims circulating online that multiple individuals were involved in the attack, insisting he acted alone.

“I was the only one that beat DJ Tunez, not ten people as alleged,” he said. “I thought he was going to call his squad but he went online to tweet. I even waited for another three to four hours but nobody came.”

The singer further claimed he restrained the situation from escalating, despite tensions at the venue.

“I gave him two slaps. I said nobody should touch him. He came with about ten people but they ran away naturally when they saw me. I didn’t throw one single blow, neither did he or anybody else,” he stated.

In a controversial remark, Burna Boy swore to the truth of his claims, while also taking a swipe at Wizkid, suggesting he expected a more direct response.

“They do internet things but I do real life. I thought he was going to call his boss so the boss could act, but his boss only tweeted. That means I just wasted my time,” he added.
